You are on the Home page of the NWACC Online Student Orientation. This is not the same as the first-time student orientation required of all new NWACC students. Call 479-986-4000 if you need assistance.

In this orientation, you will learn some important information about being a successful online student and the basics of how to use Canvas. You will also benefit from the Canvas information in the second module if you are taking remote or on-campus classes.

REMOTE CLASSES: Some instructors are using Canvas with remote live streaming, using videoconferencing for classes instead of coming to campus. Your instructor will give you more information about how that will work, so be sure to stay in close contact with your instructors, and check your NWACC email often for updates! This orientation is best viewed on a laptop or desktop computer. Please see the technical requirements for Canvas located here.

Instructions

To start the orientation, click on the Modules link on the left menu which will show you all of the content pages.

Read through each page and watch the videos.

To navigate from page to page, click on the 'Next' button located at the bottom of each page. If you are on the Canvas app, click the >.

Important NWACC information will be found in the yellow boxes. Be sure to read the information carefully!
